Your starting position should be in a narrow three-point stance with your feet staggered and your back foot placed at the heel of your front foot. Place your hand sideways on the ground rather than with your fingers straight ahead and work to keep your legs straight. Drop your chin into your chest and keep it tucked

They key to 40 prep is to maintain an explosive ‘brace’ within your body. To recruit this an athlete needs to focus on breathing by inhaling during the upward phase of initiating his/her athletic stance.

Upon releasing the drive leg and initiating concentric force, one should exhale so that the body can maintain/build fluidity

.

.

This is key to establishing and maintaining smooth running traction (arm/leg movement) that doesn’t disturb forward momentum.
